Features: This standard specifies the technical requirements for the radiating substrate of glass infrared radiation heaters—milky quartz glass tubes—laying the foundation for formulating product standards for milky quartz glass infrared radiation heaters. Compared to transparent quartz glass tubes of the same process and product, the dimensional tolerance of outer diameter, wall thickness deviation, and appearance quality indicators in Section 5.1 and Section 5.2 of this standard meet or exceed the quality requirements of the first-class product specified in JC/T 598-1995 "Transparent quartz glass tubes for electric light sources and vacuum instruments." Therefore, the formulation of this standard plays a significant role in standardizing and promoting the production and use of milky quartz glass tubes for infrared radiation heaters in China. The saturation or density of micro-bubbles and gas lines inside the wall of milky quartz glass tubes and their quantitative relationship with the normal emittance of the tube material in the infrared region currently lacks sufficient data, and this standard does not address it temporarily. This standard was proposed and supervised by the Institute of Glass Science and Special Glass Fiber Research, China Academy of Building Materials Sciences. The responsible drafting unit of this standard is the Institute of Glass Science and Special Glass Fiber Research, China Academy of Building Materials Sciences.
