Features: Since the implementation of the Cost Engineer Qualification System in the field of construction project cost management by the Ministry of Personnel and the Ministry of Construction in 1996, the National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination has continuously been improved and refined. The National Council for the Examination and Certification of Cost Engineers, in accordance with the "National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Training Textbooks" jointly developed by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Personnel in 1997 and 2000, has organized the writing of this training textbook series in response to the ongoing reform of China's construction project cost management, the development of the qualification system for cost engineers and cost engineering consulting firms, and the need to align China's cost management with international standards after its entry into the WTO. Following the revision of the "National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Syllabus" by the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Personnel in 2003, this training textbook series has been developed to be used for the National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination from 2003 onwards. The newly revised National Cost Engineer Qualification Examination Training Textbooks are divided into "Basic Theory and Related Regulations of Construction Project Cost Management," "Construction Project Costing and Control," "Construction Project Technology and Measurement" (one volume each for civil engineering and installation engineering), and "Construction Project Cost Analysis." In addition to serving as a training textbook for the Cost Engineer Qualification Examination, this series can also be used as a reference for professionals engaged in construction project cost management in construction, design, construction, and engineering consulting firms, as well as a teaching reference for higher education institutions specializing in construction project cost management.
