Features: This standard specifies the design, manufacturing, selection, use, and maintenance of portable grounding and grounding short-circuit devices for live-line work.
This standard applies to AC transmission and distribution systems that have been de-energized, as well as electrical equipment. It also applies to portable grounding and grounding short-circuit devices temporarily installed on the insulating ground wires of 220kV~500kV transmission lines and in laboratories and test equipment for temporary short-circuit grounding.
This standard does not apply to portable grounding and grounding short-circuit devices used on high-voltage DC transmission equipment.
