Features: Urban construction and building industrial product standards are the technical foundation for promoting the development of the construction industry; they serve as a bridge for transforming scientific and technological achievements in the construction field into practical productivity; they are a crucial condition for organizing modernized and intensive production; and they are an important means for promoting trade. Urban construction and building industrial product standards are an essential component of standardization in the construction field and hold significant importance in engineering construction. In recent years, to adapt to the rapid development of urban construction and building industry, the Ministry of Construction has successively organized the formulation of a large number of industrial product standards. At the same time, since 2004, the National Administration for Quality Supervision, Inspection, and Certification has conducted a comprehensive review of the current valid national standards under the administration of the Ministry of Construction and the planned projects in the process of formulation. After the review, 103 urban construction and building industrial product national standards continued to be effective, while 11 standards were revoked. To meet the needs of a large number of technical personnel and management personnel, to understand the formulation of standards in a timely manner, and to provide users with comprehensive standard information, the Research Institute of Standards and Quotas of the Ministry of Construction has organized the compilation of a product standard catalog as of December 31, 2005. This catalog includes 826 urban construction and building industrial product standards. Among them, there are 103 national standards and 723 industry standards. The catalog is divided into three parts: Part 1 is the general classification directory, divided into national standards, urban construction industry standards, and building industry standards. Part 2 is the professional classification directory, divided into 15 categories such as general standards, urban public transportation, etc., according to professional fields. Part 3 is the ISO international standard catalog under the administration of the Ministry of Construction, including current standards and draft standards at various stages. Regarding the degree of conformity with international standards, before November 2001, it was classified as identical adoption, equivalent adoption, and non-equivalent adoption; after November 2001, it was classified as identical adoption (IDT), modified adoption (MOD), and non-equivalent (NEQ).
