Features: Mechanical industry standards are the technical basis for organizing product production, delivery, and acceptance, serving as a technical guarantee for improving product quality and a key condition for enterprises to achieve the best economic benefits. The promotion and application of standardization technology in business operations, along with the serious implementation of standards, are crucial for shortening product development cycles, controlling product manufacturing quality, and reducing production costs. They also have a significant impact on enhancing a company's market competitiveness, promoting the development of economies of scale, and advancing specialized cooperation. To promote the implementation of mechanical industry standards and meet the needs of a broad readership for standard texts, our press has systematically compiled and published the China Mechanical Industry Standards Series according to professional and category classifications. This series is composed of five parts: Comprehensive Technology, Basic Interchangeability, General Components, Common Processing Technologies, and General Products. Each part includes several volumes, and The Internal Combustion Engine Volume is one of the volumes in the General Products section. This volume was selected and compiled by our third editorial office, collecting 291 current national standards approved before the end of May 2006 and current industry standards approved before the end of 2005, published in three volumes: Upper, Middle, and Lower. The Upper Volume includes: Terminology and Definitions, Product Names and Model Numbering Methods, General Technical Conditions for Complete Machines, Emissions, and Performance Test Methods. The Middle and Lower Volumes cover related content on internal combustion engine components.
