Features: The reason this series of architect albums is titled "Avant-garde" is not to pursue fashion. I believe its intention is simply to emphasize the somewhat "pioneering" or "leading the way" quality reflected in these architects. The architects included in this album cover a wide range of fields and time spans, ranging from the late Spanish architect Antonio Gaudí to the currently active Swiss architect Mario Botta and the Korean architect Lee Chun-soo, among others. Their common characteristic is a willingness to innovate and a refusal to imitate or repeat others. Objectively speaking, due to the differences in their cultural backgrounds and personal experiences, their individual traits are inevitably distinct, and the formation of their styles is not a short-term process. If one judges them solely based on one or a few of their works, it is easy to fall into the of "blind men." Only by arranging their main works in chronological order and examining the development process of their specific creative activities can one gain a comprehensive understanding. This series of albums provides exactly this convenience. It does not just select the well-known masterpieces of these architects but gathers multiple works from different stages of their careers. Although some of these works show obvious signs of exploration, they do not in the slightest diminish the image of these architects but rather make them feel more authentic.
