Features: This book is compiled according to the textbook planning formulated by the Teaching Guidance Committee for Electrical Engineering and Automation Majors in Higher Education Institutions across the country. It is the third revised edition of this textbook. Since the second edition of this book was published in 1993, significant advancements have been made in related science and technology. Thyristor-based controllable devices in power electronic converters have been gradually replaced by power switching devices, and the conversion technology has shifted from phase control to pulse width modulation (PWM). Analog electronic controllers have largely been replaced by digital electronic controllers. It has become an undeniable fact that adjustable AC drives have gradually replaced DC drives, and AC drive control technology itself has also made considerable progress. This book has been comprehensively revised to address these technological developments.
In terms of content, this book is divided into two parts: DC Drive Control Systems and AC Drive Control Systems. The writing approach inherits the characteristics of the previous two editions, combining theory and practice. It applies automatic control theory to analyze and design power drive control systems, with control principles as the main thread, progressing from simple to complex and from low to high levels. The book primarily discusses the static and dynamic performance of systems and develops highly practical engineering design methods.
This book can serve as a textbook for electrical engineering and automation, electrical engineering and automation, and automation majors in higher education institutions. It can also be referenced by relevant engineers and technicians.
