Features: This book focuses on introducing the general use of DCS simulation and typical chemical product and raw material production process (plant level) simulation training operation methods, including eight processes such as ammonia synthesis, urea production, ethylene oxidation to produce acetaldehyde, acetaldehyde oxidation to produce acetic acid, petroleum atmospheric and vacuum distillation, petroleum catalytic cracking, polyvinyl chloride production, and polypropylene production. To support higher vocational education and on-the-job training, each training process includes: a brief description of the process principles, an introduction to the process flow, main equipment, instruments, and controllers, as well as explanations of control parameters, operation procedures, simulation DCS diagrams, and practice and reflection questions. It also briefly introduces the basic concepts of simulation, the application of simulation technology, the use methods of simulation training systems, and DCS system operation methods. This book can serve as an internship and training textbook for students in chemical engineering-related majors at universities, higher vocational education, and secondary vocational education. It can also be used as an on-the-job training textbook for operators in chemical enterprises and as a reference book for students in chemical instruments and automation majors for practical training.
