Features: This reference book, integrating anthology selection, commentary, and lookup functions, has become a valuable tool for students and literature enthusiasts due to its compilation of the essence of Chinese literature and its accessible, richly informative content. To meet the needs of readers with varying cultural backgrounds, this series is a revised version of the original reference book, selecting renowned poems and preserving some appendices. This book includes the works of 137 poets from the Song Dynasty, totaling 391 poems. The arrangement of authors in the main text is generally based on their birth years, with some exceptions based on death years. For authors whose birth and death years are unknown, they are arranged by their lifespan. The works of the same author are listed in chronological order. As a rule, each poem is accompanied by a separate commentary, though some poems are discussed together. The book uses simplified characters, with traditional characters or variant characters used when necessary to avoid ambiguity. Difficult or ambiguous phrases in the poems are usually explained within the commentary, with occasional notes added at the end of the text. Historical dates related to ancient history are generally presented in the old calendar system, with corresponding Common Era dates included. Common Era dates in parentheses usually omit the word "year."
