Features: On the occasion of the new edition of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" being released, we would first like to sincerely thank our readers and customers for their long-term support and love for this series. The series was originally published by the China Renmin University Press and is now published by the Inner Mongolia University Press. For this revision, "Comprehensive Tutorial" has replaced the original "Comprehensive Module," and "Mock Test Collection" has replaced the original "Mock Test Module," while the other modules remain unchanged. The new edition is written in accordance with the spirit of the new syllabus and incorporates the latest information from this year's exam for revision and adjustments. We believe that the new "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" will still be a valuable resource for candidates and training course participants.
The "Comprehensive Tutorial" of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" is written in accordance with the requirements of the new exam syllabus. It covers all aspects of the English exam and is arranged in the same order as the official exam. During the writing process, we focused on the following five aspects:
1. The exercises in the "Comprehensive Tutorial" must meet the specific requirements of the exam syllabus, with moderate difficulty and a vocabulary strictly controlled within the scope of the syllabus. The difficulty and length of each exercise are as close as possible to the exam samples and questions from previous years.
2. Emphasis is placed on the standardization of the selected language materials and the relevance of the content. While considering the coverage of vocabulary and grammar items and the difficulty of the reading passages, ambiguities in the original materials have been removed, and a few out-of-syllabus words have been annotated in Chinese to avoid overly difficult or unusual questions.
3. Attention has been paid to the diversity and novelty of the selected materials. Most of the materials are selected, excerpted, and compiled from various books, newspapers, and exam questions from recent years in China and abroad, and have been appropriately modified and processed to meet the exam requirements of candidates. The materials include cultural education, social life, historical biographies, local customs, and popular science knowledge.
4. Attention has been paid to the recording speed and quality of the listening exercises, ensuring that the speed in this book is basically consistent with the requirements of the official exam. Considering that listening comprehension is a weak point for candidates, this book provides a large number of listening exercises for candidates to choose from.
5. We have strived to provide as comprehensive explanations as possible, especially for the reading and error correction sections. The writing and translation questions are accompanied by model answers or English translations for candidates to refer to.
The "Comprehensive Tutorial" of the "English Unified Examination Guidance Series for" is written by teachers from Tsinghua University's Foreign Language Department who have long been engaged in English teaching and research. Some of the materials have already been used in English remedial classes and have achieved good results. We hope that the publication of this book will help candidates study more effectively for the exam.
