Features: Since its publication, "Green Channel" has been reprinted multiple times to meet the needs of English learners and users. "Green Channel" is designed for adult English speaking learning and can be used in formal classroom teaching or for self-study. It is particularly suitable for candidates preparing for the English Speaking Proficiency Examination (GESE) co-organized by Trinity College London and Beijing Education Examination Authority. At the back of the user manual for "Green Channel," there is an official letter of recognition from Trinity College London, acknowledging that "Green Channel" is one of the reference textbooks for the GESE examination. GESE is a distinctive speaking examination with high reliability and validity, and thus an increasing number of English learners are taking it. Among the candidates, a considerable proportion are primary and secondary school students. These candidates come from full-time public schools and private foreign language training institutions in Beijing. Many schools and parents have requested a set of oral textbooks more suitable for children's learning and exam preparation. In addition, over the past few years, through our English speaking training and pre-examination tutoring for primary and secondary school students, we have gained some methods and experience. Given these requirements and our certain achievements in teaching practice, we decided to compile "Green Channel." The three volumes of "Green Channel" are roughly equivalent to the requirements of GESE Speaking Examination levels 1-10. The newly compiled children's edition follows the preparatory level of the GESE examination syllabus, based on the original textbook, incorporating the core content of the first volume and the first half of the second volume, and is divided into four volumes to suit children's English learning. "Green Channel" can also serve as a guidebook for primary and junior high school students participating in the GESE 1-4 level speaking examinations, ensuring consistency in content and requirements between the original and the children's edition. To provide users and parents of young learners with a more comprehensive understanding of "Green Channel," we have also included the official letter of recognition from Trinity College London in this book. During the compilation of "Green Channel," full attention was paid to the psychological characteristics of children learning English and their current language learning and expression abilities. Referring to the objectives for listening and speaking skills at levels 1-5 in the "Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" issued by the Ministry of Education, and combining with the GESE examination syllabus, considerations and designs were made in terms of writing format, picture design, teaching methods, and learning load per lesson, striving to help young learners enjoy the fun and sense of achievement in learning English, embodying the teaching philosophy of "learning through play" and "teaching in accordance with aptitude." The entire textbook features practical language, innovative structure, vivid illustrations, strong, and content closely related to the daily lives of primary and secondary school students. It is easy to learn and remember, highly practical, and greatly beneficial for young learners to improve their speaking skills.
