Listening and Speaking Practice: This section includes two listening materials and two speaking activities, designed to develop students' listening and speaking skills. It contains two exercises:
1. Listening Tasks: These exercises aim to cultivate students' ability to grasp the main ideas and extract specific information from the texts, enabling them to understand the core message and the author's emotions.
2. Speaking Tasks: These focus on developing students' coherent expression skills, requiring them to respond to the ideas and reflections presented in the texts. Students are encouraged to discuss topics based on provided sample short essays, both interesting and contrasting, to spark debate.
Part C: Additional Listening
At the end of each unit, additional listening materials are provided, including dialogues, short passages, or dictation exercises related to the theme. Some lessons also include mini-dialogues similar in format to the CET-4 and CET-6 exams.
Extra-Class Listening
An extra-class listening exercise or a compound dictation material is provided to further enhance listening skills.
To add variety and interest to the course, odd-numbered lessons include elements such as songs, proverbs, humor, or quotes from famous figures.
Additionally, two sets of comprehensive tests are included at the end of the book to assess students' listening proficiency.
