Features: College English is a series of teaching materials developed based on the Teaching Syllabus for College English (Undergraduate Programs for Liberal Arts and Science), which was approved by the State Education Commission. The series includes five types of textbooks: intensive reading, extensive reading, listening, fast reading, and grammar and exercises. The College English extensive reading textbook is edited by Zhang Yanqiu of Peking University. This book is the revised edition of the teacher's manuals for the first and second volumes of the College English extensive reading textbook, written in the order of the texts, with 30 lessons per volume. In this revision, considering the convenience of teachers using this textbook, some content was added or modified based on the original version. The revised content of each lesson includes: 1. A classroom quiz, designed to encourage students to preview the lesson before class; 2. Background knowledge or text summary; 3. Teaching suggestions for the classroom; 4. Sentence patterns for memorization and imitation; 5. Translations of difficult sentences; 6. Some proverbs related to the text content for students to memorize; 7. Exercise answers. Teachers can flexibly use these materials based on the teaching level of their students and the specific class schedule.
