Features: In middle school Chinese teaching and exams, modern Chinese reading training is both a difficulty and a key focus. Whether in the annual junior high school Chinese exam papers or the senior high school Chinese exam papers, reading training has actually occupied a significant position, accounting for half of the exam content. The purpose of this book is to provide basic training for high school students at various stages to learn and master various modern Chinese reading knowledge and requirements. Given the current trend of modern Chinese reading training shifting from traditional, objective test questions that involve marking and highlighting to subjective test questions that allow students to express themselves freely and focus on cultivating their analytical and comprehension skills, this book features training units of 45 minutes each, with each unit containing 3 comprehensive training questions, all accompanied by reference answers. The entire book consists of 20 sets of comprehensive test units, maintaining a uniform format. To broaden students' reading horizons, provide more writing materials and references, and include reading appreciation units between every two training units for students to refer to. This design facilitates self-assessment for students and also allows for collective use by schools, embodying the principles of convenience and practicality.
