Features: To meet the needs of the development of adult higher legal education, our college began organizing the writing of a series of adult higher legal education textbooks by internal experts, scholars, and outstanding middle-aged and young teachers and teaching assistants in late 1994. Over the years, this series of textbooks has received widespread praise from teachers and students in terms of content quality, writing level, and practicality, with several titles being reprinted multiple times. With the continuous development of the country's legal system, the promulgation or major revisions of some laws and regulations, the deepening of research in various fields of law, and the accumulation of experience in legal education, our textbooks need to be adjusted in both content and structure to keep pace with these changes. Therefore, our college has decided to rewrite the series of adult higher legal education textbooks. Our college has a history of 15 years in providing adult higher legal education. Adult higher education has its own characteristics: students come from diverse backgrounds, there is a wide age range, their knowledge foundation varies, and their life experiences differ, etc., making teaching relatively challenging. Thus, the selection of textbooks is particularly important. Writing a high-quality textbook that suits the characteristics of adult education is key to reducing teaching difficulties and improving teaching quality. Textbooks should serve as a guide for teachers during lectures and a summary for students' learning, with correct viewpoints, concise content, accurate concepts, strong logic, thorough analysis, and clear conclusions. We believe that with an accurate grasp of the intrinsic principles of adult higher education, the valuable experience from previous textbook writing, and the strong support of numerous experts and scholars from our university, this new series of textbooks will meet teaching requirements while reflecting the characteristics of adult education. The new textbooks will also incorporate new research findings based on laws promulgated in the past two years and the development of various disciplines, greatly benefiting students in expanding their knowledge and academic information.
This series of textbooks is guided by the "Basic Requirements for Adult Higher Legal Education Teaching" promulgated by the Ministry of Education in 1998 and takes the teaching plan issued by the Ministry of Justice as its framework. The writing style is determined based on the characteristics of adult higher education teaching systems and the discipline settings, aiming to enable every student to accurately master the basic knowledge, basic viewpoints, and basic skills of the subject. At the same time, considering the need to cultivate applied senior legal talents, typical and vivid case studies are appropriately included to better guide judicial practice.
The content of this series of textbooks is moderate, rooted in our college while facing society, and suitable for both undergraduate and undergraduate programs. They can be used in both undergraduate and undergraduate stages and are also applicable to different learning formats such as correspondence, face-to-face tutoring, and full-time off-campus programs. This series of textbooks includes all the required professional foundation courses and core courses for adult higher legal education as stipulated by the state, as well as related elective law courses, political theory courses, and cultural and skill courses.
