Features: The content of this book is based on the New Vocabulary List for College English Teaching Syllabus and the Basic Requirements for College English Teaching. We have selected the CET-6 vocabulary marked in the "Vocabulary List" and the newly added CET-6 vocabulary in the "Basic Requirements," totaling 1,400 words. The 1,400 words are arranged into 14 weeks, with 100 words per week. In the final week, we include 312 frequently tested CET-4 words from past CET-6 vocabulary tests. The total word selection for the book is 1,700, with each word's meaning range strictly determined according to the syllabus vocabulary list and accompanied by classic example sentences. Additionally, the book includes 15 sets of past CET-6 vocabulary test questions as short-term quizzes to complement weekly vocabulary memorization and consolidation.
Features of the Book:
- 100 words per week, making it convenient for candidates to review and memorize regularly.
- The provided example sentences are generally kept between 4-10 words in length, facilitating comprehension and retention.
- Words that have appeared in CET-6 tests are marked, helping candidates identify high-frequency test words.
- A set of practice quizzes is provided at the end of each week for candidates to conduct timed and limited exercises for consolidation.
- The book adopts a bilingual column layout (English and Chinese), with clear separation for easy self-checking, allowing learners to cover and mark words they have memorized, thereby improving learning efficiency.
- Each week includes an introduction to learning methods and the week's tasks. To help candidates improve their exam scores, the book provides learning methods closely related to expanding vocabulary and all sections of the CET-4.
- A "Self-Monitoring Task Checklist" is provided—especially useful for candidates without a teacher, as the task list serves as the best supervisor.
- The source of each word in the test is marked in parentheses after the entry. Words without underscores indicate distractors in the test, while words with underscores indicate correct answers.
