Features: This little Chinese-English dictionary is compiled for high school, middle school students, English self-learners, and travelers. The entire dictionary includes over 3,000 single-character entries and over 19,000 multi-character entries. Due to space limitations, only common words are included. The Chinese entries and definitions are mainly based on the Modern Chinese Dictionary compiled by the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The English translations of the definitions and examples are mainly based on the Chinese-English Dictionary compiled by the English Department of Beijing Foreign Studies University.
