Features: Incorporated into the National Vocational Qualification System, targeting the public. Holders of the certificate can be appointed to corresponding positions according to their level. After the unified certification exam is implemented, translation professional qualification evaluations will no longer be conducted nationwide. Practical Japanese Interpretation was organized and compiled by the China Foreign Languages Press and Publishing Corporation as the designated Japanese training textbook for the National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination launched by the National Personnel Department. Practical Japanese Interpretation was developed based on the characteristics of interpretation teaching, the requirements of the interpretation profession, and the interpretation examination syllabus of the "National Translation Professional Qualification (Level) Examination." It adopts a new format, making interpretation teaching content more comprehensive, teaching arrangements more scientific, and teaching methods more diverse. Practical Japanese Interpretation is organized into 16 units, with each unit's theme and supporting exercises centered around a single topic. The selected materials are realistic and cover common content in interpretation work. Topics include "Current Affairs and Politics," "China-Japan Relations," "Business Activities," "Science and Technology," "News Media," "Information Age," "Culture and Education," "Environmental Protection," "Etiquette and Toasts," "Tourism and Sightseeing," "Performing Arts," "Sports," "Health and Wellness," "Daily Life," and "Entertainment and Leisure." Practical Japanese Interpretation adheres to the concept of bidirectional interpretation teaching. Each unit's teaching projects include both Chinese-to-Japanese and Japanese-to-Chinese forms, following the principle of combining "dialogues," "short sentences," "paragraphs," "passages," and "vocabulary." This allows teachers to organize a variety of teaching activities. In terms of layout, the main course section includes both "dialogues" and "passages," accompanied by "interpretation commentary," which focuses on explaining interpretation difficulties and occasionally introduces background knowledge related to the content. The "Interpretation Practice" section includes "short sentences," "paragraphs," and "passages," along with "Listening and Note-taking" exercises to improve listening comprehension and note-taking skills. As a classic feature of interpretation textbooks, the "Extended Vocabulary" section compiles selected vocabulary and sentences related to the theme.
