1. Content and Structure of the Book
This book is designed for beginners of Korean and helps readers learn basic Korean language knowledge. It includes nearly 1,500 common words and about 120 basic sentence patterns. The structure of the book is as follows:
1. Basic Knowledge of Korean
Before the lessons, this section provides a simple introduction to the creation of the Korean alphabet, vocabulary, word classification, grammar, and other fundamental content, giving learners a preliminary understanding of the Korean language.
2. Main Course Units
There are 30 main course units. The first 10 units cover pronunciation, with a unit summary and review at the end. The following 20 units are organized into units of 5 each. At the end of each unit, the learned content is summarized, along with a unit summary checklist and review, which helps learners organize and summarize the sentence patterns, grammar, vocabulary, and expressions learned in the unit. Through exercises, learners can reinforce the content of the unit.
3. Appendices
At the end of the book, there are the 2003 Korean Language Proficiency Test Level 2 questions and answers, as well as an index of the vocabulary in this book for learners to use.
