Features: The art textbook for kindergarten normal schools was compiled under the commission of the Ministry of Education. This series of textbooks was developed in response to the new reforms in national normal education, based on investigations and research, fully considering the teaching realities and training objectives of kindergarten normal schools across the country. The textbooks are divided into five categories: Art Appreciation, Painting, Pattern Design, Handicrafts, and Teaching Theory of Kindergarten Art. Each category is a separate volume and is divided into grade segments. The textbook design allows for flexibility, making it suitable for both three-year and five-year kindergarten normal schools. Art appreciation skills cannot be developed overnight. Art appreciation must be closely integrated with painting, pattern design, and handicrafts, with each category interconnected and mutually supportive. From a comprehensive perspective of the art discipline, the appreciation course reflects the times and considers the psychology of the learners and educational methods. From the perspective of human development, the appreciation course helps students understand beauty and develop aesthetic judgment. The methods of art appreciation are integrated into the course, enabling students to observe, reflect, analyze, and compare through a series of activities, thereby making judgments and grounding the appreciation process. As knowledge and intellect grow together, students gradually develop their ability to appreciate art.
