Features: Based on Marx's theory of value and price, this book employs systematic scientific methods and mathematical analysis, incorporating contemporary price model theories to propose a series of principle and application models related to price issues. It aims to address major theoretical and practical problems in Marxist economics, international comparisons, price reforms, and macroeconomic operation and price monitoring and regulation. It is an original work on economic mathematical methods. The book is divided into 10 chapters, with an additional "○" chapter presenting several fundamental methods that run throughout the book, which hold significant importance and role in the book.
Chapter 1 briefly reviews the value and price theories since the emergence of classical economics, summarizing the main price theory models and computable models since the late 19th century into 3 categories and 7 types. Chapters 2 and 3 start from the systematic structure of national products, providing a mathematical iterative model for the reproduction of national product theory and the Sraffian price model. Chapters 4 and 5 focus on major theoretical issues in Marxist economics. Chapter 5, based on the value-type price and production price models, proposes a new solution to the scientific puzzle of the "transformation of value," a century-long debate in Marx's labor value theory. Chapter 6 introduces two model methods for international comparisons using production price and price ratio systems. Starting from Chapter 7, the author extends the discussion to China's real economic system reform and operation. Chapter 8 conducts quantitative and empirical research on the changes and impacts of household income and expenditure under inflation and deflation conditions. Chapter 9, with price liberalization as the thread, summarizes and explores the basic trajectory and characteristics of price fluctuations since China's reform and opening-up and economic transition.
The final chapter proposes a new reference framework for macroeconomic monitoring and regulation in a socialist market economy, using fundamental price models, the compilation of existing input-output tables, and a price cost survey network as technical means.
