Publish Date: 2006-04-01
Features: Lu Xun's essays and miscellany, which offer a style that is not seen by ancient sages and cannot be followed by later generations. First and foremost, its feature lies in the depth of observation, the sharpness of wit, the ingenuity of metaphors, and the conciseness of writing. Moreover, its atmosphere of overflowing humor makes it no wonder that readers would feel a fierce and tragic flavor, as if they were not afraid of death even when drinking poison. When we see the part, he sees the whole. When we are enthusiastic about grasping the reality, he has already grasped the past, present, and future. To understand the comprehensive national spirit of China, there is no shortcut other than reading "The Complete Works of Lu Xun." — Yu Dafu
