Features: You often get stopped in your tracks by the accidental beauty along the way to your destination, only to find more beautiful places surrounding it once you arrive, leading to multiple routes, each highly attractive. Such places full of the joy of discovery are more in line with backpacking and hiking spirit, and are worth recommending. At the same time, due to the barriers of mountains and rivers and the backward economy, this land is not well-known and retains a more primal and authentic form. Therefore, this book focuses not only on routes in the Sichuan Basin and Chongqing but also heavily on Western Sichuan, where there is much to explore. I traveled through every county in Ganzi and Aba, taking photos and writing as I went, collecting first-hand, as objective and detailed information as possible, conveying the sense of being on-site. The final book encompasses most of the beauty in Western Sichuan, and I believe it is currently the most comprehensive and in-depth travel guide to Bashu, especially Western Sichuan. Bashu is located at the junction of China's second and third terraces, where the elevation rises from 300–500 meters in the central-east to 4,000–5,000 meters in the west. Han and Tibetan-Yi cultures converge here, presenting a rich diversity of natural and cultural landscapes.
