Features: The Calamity of Beast Demons, which arose from the Ten Thousand Mountains in the Southern Frontier, brought suffering to the land. The people of the various ethnic groups in the Southern Frontier endured the torment of the beast demons even more severely than those in the Central Plains. Ten out of every ten households were devastated, and it was almost the inevitable fate of many villages and towns—entire settlements and (mountain strongholds) were wiped out with no survivors, such scenes occurring from time to time. After the calamity, the remaining small groups of beast demons in the Southern Frontier were far more numerous than those in the Central Plains. The people who miraculously survived the calamity often had to endure the raids and disturbances of the remaining beast demons, living in darkness, as if in the depths of suffering. It was under such circumstances that Guili once again stepped onto the land of the Southern Frontier.
