It reflects the positive academic atmosphere and innovative spirit of the discipline under the leadership of Professor Huang Xiting.
The psychological representation of time is a reflection of physical time in the external world in the human mind. However, time representation is a core issue in the processing of time information, involving complex phenomena and a broad scope, making it difficult to grasp holistically. As a result, a systematic and comprehensive research paradigm and experimental method for time representation have yet to be established, and the discussions conducted so far have been mostly indirect, yielding limited progress. In light of this, the present study aims to build upon existing theories while approaching the issue from a new perspective to achieve new advancements.
This paper is divided into three parts: The first part is the introduction, which systematically reviews the history and overall landscape of time cognition research. The second part, the upper section of this paper, introduces some new theories of time memory representation. The third part, the lower section of this paper, presents the exploration of the hierarchical network structure of time memory representation conducted by the author under the guidance of Supervisor Professor Huang Xiting.
