Features: What is the thinking of a nation, or the fundamental responsibility of research? Or what is the highest responsibility of a scholar or journalist? In my view, it lies in understanding the characteristics of the era we are in, presenting the facts we are concerned about, and giving these facts sufficient rational analysis. If we do not explain and question the difficulties, problems, and various phenomena we have encountered, then as scholars or journalists, or as the thinking of a nation, we will fall into a state of mental stagnation, confusion, and anxiety, and the entire society will fall into a mental short circuit. Humanities and social sciences that reflect the national spirit and the spirit of the times are the soul of the nation and the country, and the foundation of national independence. At any time, we must have a sense of mission to cultivate and cherish it. This is not only the mission of a country but also the duty of every citizen. Here recorded is the interactive process of the spiritual growth of a university and a nation. The modern world is facing the pressure that reason is difficult to control. To resist this pressure, we may still appear weak and powerless. But the existence of such a university itself means that there is indeed a confidence in human reason, and it affirms the existence of a spiritual force—even though its role is still hard to estimate. It witnesses the unyielding will of a nation and its yearning for future civilization.
