Notes on Hunting for Books

Author: Huang Jundong
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2002-01-01
Features: This is the second selected collection of book essays published by Huang Jundong on the mainland, following his previous work Keliang Shuhua. The selections are from the Hong Kong edition of Shuhua Ji and Lie Shu Xiao Ji, as well as a large number of previously uncollected newspaper column writings. The essays are divided into four sections titled: "Words of Book Lovers," "Chinese Book Shadows," "Hong Kong Island Book Ties," and "Foreign Book Fragments." Except for the first section, the other three sections do not list individual sources. The editor greatly enjoys the poetic and evocative title Lie Shu Xiao Ji, and thus this selected collection retains it.
