Features: The Selected Prose of Lu Xun (Illustrated Edition) includes 286 essays by Lu Xun, divided into two volumes. It was compiled by Jin Yinming, Vice Director of the Lu Xun Museum and a renowned Lu Xun scholar. The first volume primarily collects essays before The Collected Works of Lu Xun, titled Whispers from the Sea of Humanity; the second volume includes essays after The Three Gates Collection, titled Notes from a World of Thorny Paths. The original title was proposed by Lu Xun and appears in the Manuscript Catalog of Self-Selected Works. To make this book one of the most accurate versions of Lu Xun’s prose among numerous editions, the editor used the Complete Works of Lu Xun, compiled by the Lu Xun Memorial Committee in 1938 and published by Shanghai Fusha, as the base text. The editor then cross-referenced Lu Xun’s existing manuscripts and other versions to ensure the most accurate selections.
