Floating World Copy (Selected Essays and Musings from)

Features: Originally called "zawen" (satirical essays), later termed "sui bi" (random essays), and now "shi ping" (current affairs commentary); some call it literature, others news, or even "literary news." Mr. Lu Xun referred to it as "the sensitive nerves and offensive/defensive limbs of society"; Mr. Li Daizhao called for "shouldering the righteousness with a strong shoulder and writing excellent articles with skillful hands." I dare not claim to have skillful hands, but a sense of justice is something I never forget. The selected works here are part of my essays, random essays, and current affairs commentaries published in the past five years. Five years have passed without a book. Looking back suddenly, a sense of vicissitudes fills the air. Since the mid-1980s of the last century, I have fallen in love with essays and random essays, and year after year, I have never stopped writing! - Now, I have added "current affairs commentary." The spirit, vigor, and essence that permeate these commentaries are not the spirit of "Lu Xun-style" carried forward and expanded? "Literary works are eternal, but success and failure are known only to the author." I dare not claim anything else, but there is one thing I never forget: I will never write against my conscience or speak insincere or empty words. Perspectives may vary in depth, and articles may range from refined to popular, but "what is valued is courage, what is sought is the soul," and what is emphasized is truth, which is my motto. In short, the "current essays" I write are to preserve a piece of truth for history. Although, in this vast world, this may only be a glimpse of the whole. Therefore, I name it: "Floating World Copy."
