Features: The original stamped copy of "The Original Seal Impressions of Bronze Seals" was compiled by Wang Qishu in the 34th year of the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty (1769 AD). Note: Qishu, styled Shenyi, styled Xiufeng, also styled E'an, called himself an "" (seal enthusiast). He was from She County, Anhui Province, and held the position of a (a senior official) in the Ministry of Works. He lived in Hangzhou for a long time. He had a passion for ancient artifacts and possessed an extraordinary collection of books during his lifetime, especially in collecting seals. From the Zhou and Qin dynasties to the Song and Yuan dynasties, he collected tens of thousands of types of seals, unmatched in ancient and modern times. He was skilled in poetry and wrote books such as "The Record of the Burning Palm," "The Leisurely Records of the Clear Pavilion," and "The Biography of Seal Artists from the Feihong Hall." "The Original Seal Impressions of Bronze Seals" features exquisite selections with clear impressions. Most of the seals included in the original collection are Han dynasty seals, with a small number of ancient Warring States era seals and seals from various dynasties. The original copy of the book, stamped with vermilion ink, is a 16-volume set, which was acquired by our publishing house in 1963 from the descendants of the Shanghai seal artist Zhang Luan'an.
