This is a classic fable about time. In the face of this fable, there are only four people in the world. Four young men in their twenties go to a bank to borrow money. The bank agrees to lend each of them a large sum, on the condition that they must repay the principal and interest within 50 years.
The first young man wants to play for the first 25 years of his life, then work hard for the last 25 years to repay the debt. As a result, he accomplishes nothing in his 70 years and dies burdened with debt. His name is "Laziness."
The second young man works tirelessly for the first 25 years, and by the time he is 50, he has paid off all his debts. However, on that day, he collapses and dies soon after. Beside his photograph is a small plaque with his name: "Fanaticism."
The third young man pays off his debt when he is 70, but he dies just a few days later. His death notice bears his name: "Perseverance."
The fourth young man works for 40 years and pays off all his debts by the time he is 60. In his last decade of life, he becomes a traveler, visiting most countries on Earth. When he dies at 70, he does so with a smile on his face. People still remember his name as "Composure."
The bank that lent them the money was called "The Bank of Life."
Which one of these are you?
