The introduction primarily introduces basic knowledge about law, particularly jurisprudence. Part I, Ontology of Law, focuses on the nature and definition of law, elaborating on the "meta" or fundamental issues of law. Part II, Structure of Law, mainly discusses legal phenomena and their technical composition. Part III, Operation of Law, primarily examines the mechanisms and principles of the creation and implementation of real law. Part IV, Legal Methods, emphasizes analyzing and introducing the professional skills and thinking methods of legal practitioners in thinking and solving legal problems. Part V, Rule of Law State, primarily introduces the general patterns of the evolution and development of legal systems, especially the theoretical and practical issues of institutional changes related to China's rule of law construction. The structure of this textbook on jurisprudence is arranged on one hand to enhance the practicality of jurisprudence textbooks, enabling students to improve their ability to engage in legal professions through the study of jurisprudence; on the other hand, it attempts to emphasize the important role and practical significance of theoretical issues in legal practice. At the same time, this structural arrangement also attempts to better cover the requirements of jurisprudence in the "Basic Requirements for Core Courses in Law Programs of Higher Education" issued by the Ministry of Education, reflecting the latest developments in jurisprudence teaching.
