Publish Date: 2006-01-01
Features: At the end of 1998, in order to promptly and comprehensively grasp the latest dynamics of China's industrial development, the Industrial Economics Research Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council, in collaboration with research teams composed of over 20 national relevant departments, launched the "China Industrial Development Tracking Research." This book is one of the core outcomes of the 2006 annual study. After nearly eight years of continuous effort, the research has become a high-level, authoritative, and in-depth project that effectively combines theoretical research with practical application, achieving leading levels both domestically and internationally. It is particularly noteworthy that to scientifically, objectively, and visually reflect the characteristics and trends of various industries, the research project also adopted the basic principles of the "Harvard Index" and designed the first set of "Industrial Growth Business Cycle Index" in China. It established medium-to-short-term forecasting models for over 30 industries, not only breaking through long-standing methodological challenges in domestic industry analysis and forecasting but also achieving significant practical results. These research outcomes have been actively recognized by national decision-making bodies, relevant government departments, and financial investment institutions in the business community, regarded as one of the most authoritative achievements reflecting the directions of China's industrial development. The annually published "China Industrial Development Report," as an important platform for releasing research outcomes, has been recognized both domestically and internationally as a "barometer" for China's industrial development. Additionally, this book compiles some of the recent research findings from the Industrial Economics Department of the Development Research Center of the State Council, as well as key data from the development of various industries. It holds significant reference value for researchers deeply concerned with the profound issues of China's industrial development and reform, as well as for investors closely monitoring emerging investment opportunities in China.
