Features: {When a person chews on vegetable roots, all things can be done}. The "Lai Gen Tan" (The Root of Vegetables) written by the Ming Dynasty's eminent figure Hong Yingming is deeply rooted in the essence of life, hence its significant influence and widespread popularity. However, all versions currently circulating in the world are not the original editions, and their content classification is often inappropriate. This book uses the Yangzhou Zangjingyuan edition of the 13th year of the Guangxu reign (1887) as the base text, cross-referencing other versions, and adding 15 maxims absent in domestic editions but found in Japanese transmissions, totaling 541 maxims. It also reclassifies the content into three chapters: {Cultivating Virtue and Nurturing Nature}, {Engaging with the World and Handling Affairs}, and {Leisure and Indifference}. It is currently the version with the most complete chapters, the most meticulously edited, and the most appropriately classified "Lai Gen Tan."
