Features: This volume includes two long novels, "The Two Ma's" and "Xiao Po's Birthday." "The Two Ma's" was written in London between 1928 and 1929. It was published in the "Monthly Literature Magazine" (Volume 20, Issue 5 to 12) from May to December 1929. The Commercial Press published its first edition in April 1931. "Xiao Po's Birthday" was written during the author's stay in Singapore from the second half of 1929 while stranded in the UK. It was completed in Shanghai in 1930 and published in the "Monthly Literature Magazine" (Volume 22, Issue 1 to 4) from January to April 1931. The Life Publishing House published its first edition in July 1934. When these works were included in this volume, they were proofread based on the first editions and supplemented with some necessary annotations.
