Features: Central China is a witness to the long-standing ancient civilization of thousands of years, the cradle of the Chinese nation's continuous prosperity, the hub connecting east and west, south and north in China's economy, and the cornerstone of maintaining China's political stability and social harmony. Central China should also be a symbol of China's entry into a moderately prosperous society in an all-round way and the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation. Since the reform and opening-up, the six central provinces, like other regions in the country, have achieved great achievements in economic and social development. However, it should be noted that: on the one hand, the development gap between the central region and the eastern coastal areas is continuously expanding; on the other hand, after the central government successively implemented strategies such as the Western Development and revitalizing the old industrial bases in the northeast, the central region urgently needs breakthroughs in the policy environment for development. To adapt to the new situation of regional economic development, as a major measure to fully implement the scientific outlook on development, the central government has timely and clearly proposed the strategic deployment of "promoting the rise of the central region." To implement the central government's strategic deployment on promoting the rise of the central region, it is necessary to accurately understand the internal and external conditions of the rise of the central region.
