Features: Wang Cheng, Hui ethnic minority, born in Guiyang in 1972. In 1990, he was admitted to the Landscape Painting program of the Chinese Painting Department at the China Academy of Fine Arts. He studied under masters such as Kong Zhongqi, Tong Zhongtao, Zhuo Hejun, and Chen Xiangxun. In 1994, he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Arts. In 2004, he enrolled as a graduate student in the Landscape Painting program at the College of Art, Guizhou University. Due to his outstanding performance, he graduated early in July 2006 and received a Master's degree. His selected works participated in the "Qianyuan Ink Traces" exhibition (National Art Museum of China) in 1995, was selected for the "1998 Chinese Painting Exhibition" (Chinese Painting Research Institute) in 1998, participated in the "Five Guizhou Landscape Painting Exhibition" (Shenzhen Art Museum) in 2001, was selected for the "China, Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art Exhibition" organized by the Ministry of Culture and held at the Moscow Artists' Center in 2002, and won the Excellence Award and Innovation Award at the "Toronto International Ink Painting Biennial Exhibition." In 2004, his works were included in the "Luzhou People Painting Collection — Invitation Exhibition of Luzhou National Painting Masters," selected for the "Lichang Hui — Second National Youth Chinese Painting Exhibition," and the "Book and Calligraphy Exhibition for the 55th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference" organized by the Guizhou CPPCC. In 2005, he was selected for the "Third Western Land and Emotion Exhibition" and won the Excellence Award. In 2005, the China National Calligraphers Association published his personal art book, "Selected Works of Wang Cheng." His works have been published in newspapers and magazines such as "New Art," "Zhejiang Daily," "Chinese Painter," "Shenzhen Special Zone Daily," "Guizhou Daily," "People's Daily Overseas Edition," "Art of Calligraphy and Painting," and "Chinese Painter," and have been collected by institutions such as the China Academy of Fine Arts, the China-Japan Friendship Association, the Shenzhen Art Museum, the Ministry of Civil Affairs, Guiyang Television Station, and individuals both domestically and internationally.
