How to make hall and room couplets

Features: Throughout history, couplets for halls and living spaces have been widely applicable, thus highlighting their high practical value. Former dignitaries and officials, as well as today's culturally refined individuals, often hang one or two couplets in their halls to demonstrate elegance—this differs from the affectation of culture by those without genuine taste. For common people, couplets in living spaces are primarily spring couplets during the Lunar New Year. Contemporary scholar and renowned Hongloumeng expert Zhou Ruchang once wrote in the preface to my book The Complete Collection of Practical Couplets in Ancient and Modern China: "Our spring couplets during festivals are truly unparalleled in the world as a great and marvelous ''."
