As educators who have long been committed to teaching and researching the history of foreign education, we deeply understand this. Therefore, with a focus on the in-depth development of contemporary educational theory research in our country and the needs of educational practice, we have compiled this "Concise History of Foreign Education." The words "concise" reflect our original intention in writing this textbook and also the goal we strive to achieve. The history of foreign education spans a long period, covers a wide geographical area, and involves numerous figures, making it quite challenging to compile an appropriate textbook. Through years of teaching practice, we have come to understand that for undergraduate students, a concise textbook is more suitable than multi-volume works. Considering this situation and also catering to the needs of graduate and vocational students, we have written this book. In terms of content, this book strives to achieve a balance between "conciseness" and "clarity," neither omitting essential historical facts nor being overly lengthy or complicated. At the same time, it integrates historical analysis with theoretical discussion, providing an objective, comprehensive, and dialectical evaluation of historical facts under the guidance of the basic principles of Marxism.
