Features: The Collected Explanations of the I Ching, compiled by Li Dingzuo during the Zhenguan era. The title may also be rendered as Li's Collected Explanations of the I Ching or Li's Commentary on the I Ching. This work extensively gathers interpretations of the I Ching from forty schools spanning from the Han and Wei dynasties to the early Tang period, with a focus on incorporating esoteric and mathematical theories to annotate the meanings of the canonical texts. Its aim is to "correct the obscure writings of Wang Bi and complete the missing diagrams of Kang Cheng." The arrangement of the canonical texts follows Wang Bi's edition, but with the Xu Guan Zhuan (Preface to the Hexagrams) interspersed among the first sixty hexagrams, following the example of the Mao Shi, where the Xiao Xu (Short Prefaces) are prefixed to the three hundred and five odes.
