Patient's question:
Can the current fourth-generation needle water effectively enter the prostate and cure prostate diseases? Thank you!Doctor's answer:
Since it was mentioned earlier that antibiotics are difficult to reach effective therapeutic concentrations within the prostate gland, the idea of directly injecting antibiotics into the prostate for treatment emerged. Our outpatient department has previously widely recommended this treatment method. However, years of clinical practice have demonstrated that this therapy has unavoidable drawbacks: (1) Punctures through the skin or rectum can introduce bacteria, leading to repeated infections of the prostate; (2) Repeated multiple punctures can cause fibrosis, hardening, or calcification of prostate tissue. During digital rectal examination, hard nodules can be palpated within the prostate, which may even transform into prostate tumors, posing a threat to life. (3) This method also fails to overcome the resistance of bacteria, pathogens, and microorganisms. Therefore, caution should be exercised when choosing intraprostatic injection therapy.
