Features: This illustrated dictionary collects nearly 3,000 famous cultural figures from around the world, primarily including artists, musicians, writers, dramatists, filmmakers, and Nobel Prize laureates, divided into five major categories (five volumes). It essentially covers important humanities and prominent natural science fields. This dictionary combines knowledge with art appreciation, not only providing concise introductions to the lives and achievements of cultural figures in brief text but also showcasing their portraits, works, and other illustrations through rich postage stamp images and relatively rare first-day covers, postal stamps, and maximum cards, offering a multi-layered display. It is characterized by its integration of text and images. The arrangement of figures in this dictionary follows the order of continents and national geographical locations, with adjustments made based on their historical contributions to world civilization. Within the same country, figures are arranged chronologically according to the era in which they lived. In the fifth volume, Nobel Prize laureates are arranged by the order of their awards due to special reasons. For easy reference to the countries, regions, and issue dates of stamp releases, this dictionary uniformly marks relevant reference texts at the corners of the lower edges of the stamps. The names of countries on the stamps are marked according to the country names at the time of issue. The national affiliations of cultural figures are categorized based on the country where they primarily lived and worked during their main activity periods. World cultural figures are marked with both Chinese and foreign names, while Chinese cultural figures are generally labeled using Pinyin.
