Why do pubic lice occur

Patient's question:

I am a good person, and my living environment is not bad either. Except for being with my husband, I haven't had any contact with anyone else. How could I possibly get something so disgusting?

Doctor's answer:

Pubic lice are a parasitic disease, primarily spread through sexual contact. In rare cases, they can also be transmitted through the sharing of bedding, clothing, and other items, possibly due to their low mobility. They can coexist with other sexually transmitted diseases, with foreign data indicating that approximately one-third of patients have other sexually transmitted diseases. Most cases only affect the pubic hair, but they often spread to the hair around the anus and can also affect underarm hair, eyelashes, eyebrows, beard hair, and body hair on the torso, abdomen, and legs. In very rare cases, they may affect the scalp hair.
