Features: "Records of the Grand Historian" is hailed as "the peerless song of historians, an unrhymed 'Li Sao'," and has been passed down for over two thousand years. The Chinese nation has long had a tradition of compiling and annotating books. From the legendary ancient texts "San Fen," "Wu Dian," "Ba Suo," and "Jiu Qiu," to the current "visual era," this tradition has been consistently upheld. Yet, when surveying the domestic book market, it is a pity to find no complete illustrated edition of "Records of the Grand Historian." This illustrated (treasured edition) of "Records of the Grand Historian" aims to fill this gap and verify history through visuals. The book supplements text with images, adhering to the principle of "better to be without than to have inferior." In selecting images, efforts are made to ensure they are directly related to the historical facts being described, thereby authenticating the original historical context, or indirectly illustrating the facts to reflect the era. The images primarily include ancient ruins, tombs, related artifacts, Han Dynasty relief sculptures, portraits of ancient figures, illustrations from ancient books, and various schematic diagrams, all striving to use historically significant visuals to reflect and witness history, allowing readers to gain an intuitive understanding of the historical facts of the pre-Qin and Qin-Han periods.
