Features: Deutsche Ideengeschichte (German Philosophy and Culture Review) is a professional serial publication sponsored by the Institute of German Philosophy and Culture at Tongji University and the German Academic Center at Tongji University. It has been published since 2003, with one volume per year. Each volume features a fixed section titled "Nietzsche/Haidegger Studies," highlighting the journal's focus. Other sections are flexible and can be added or removed as needed. Academic papers and translations on the fields of German classical philosophy, German modern philosophy, German poetics, and Sino-German comparative cultural studies are welcome. Deutsche Ideengeschichte sincerely invites scholars to extend their hands with Tongji University to jointly advance the cause of German cultural studies in China. This volume includes selected papers from the academic symposium "German Philosophy and Modern China," organized by the Department of German Philosophy and Culture at Tongji University (Shanghai, June 11-13, 2004).
