Core Curriculum Correlation Guide · Private International Law

Author: Xiao Yongping, Editor-in-Chief
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2004-01-01
Features: The content of this book is primarily divided into four parts: legal texts, key study points, case analyses, and reference bibliographies. Considering the transnational and international nature of private international law, the book includes international legal texts in their original English for convenience in bilingual teaching and to enhance learners' ability to read legal English. Domestic legal texts are presented in Chinese, with particular attention paid to including relevant judicial interpretations from the Supreme People's Court of China. The key study points section explains legal provisions separately, but does not aim to cover all international treaties comprehensively, instead selecting several key issues for study. The case analysis section strives to include relevant Chinese cases, and if no precedent exists, hypothetical cases may be used for illustration. Of course, the book also selects and analyzes some internationally or domestically influential cases. The reference bibliography provides resources for learners interested in further research on related topics, as well as indicating the primary literature referenced by the author during the writing process.
