Features: The literature of the Lhoba people is a spiritual product created by the Lhoba, who have long been in a stage of primitive social development. It is the linguistic expression of a primitive, integrated ideology. The Lhoba have entirely different concepts of literature compared to us. That is to say, what we call literature, in the Lhoba culture, is entirely created as a spiritual weapon, power, and tool for very practical and utilitarian purposes. It serves as a spiritual compensation for material scarcity, a solace for the mind in the face of reality's fears, and a pursuit of truth and a longing for goodness. These are their highest principles of action. It seems they neither pay attention to nor understand our concept of "literature." Moreover, they absolutely do not "play with literature." However, this does not mean the Lhoba lack aesthetic needs. For them, practical utility, obsessive faith, and sincere fantasy—these are beauty, and this is the enjoyment of beauty. They are very close to life, and they derive their unique emotions from the extreme poverty, mystery, and unpredictable reality of their lives, thus seeking linguistic forms of expression.
