Huo Jingzhi's Lyrics for Songs Collection

Author: Chen Zhi'ang et al.
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-07-01
Features: In 2005, the Writers' Publishing House published a 6-volume edition of "He Jingzhi's Collected Works," which was a significant event in the literary and art circles. Volume 5 of the "Collected Works" focuses on opera and lyrics, but except for "White-haired Girl," none of the other works were accompanied by musical scores, which was somewhat regrettable. In light of this, I proposed to follow the example set by Sun Shen and others in editing "Tian Han's Song Lyrics Collection" and compile a "He Jingzhi's Song Lyrics Collection." He Jingzhi is primarily a poet, but he also made significant contributions to literary theory. His characteristic in theoretical activities is the unwavering adherence to the principle of proletarian party spirit, while simultaneously possessing a rich dialectical spirit, never allowing himself to fall into the rigidity and inflexibility of metaphysical extremism. His greatest contribution to literary theory lies in emphasizing the principle of "literature and art serving socialism."
