Features: The complete Chinese translation of the Indian epic Mahabharata has been published by the Chinese Social Sciences Press. The book comprises approximately five million words and is bound into six thick volumes. Considering that many readers do not have the time to read the entire work but are eager to learn about this renowned Indian epic, the publisher has suggested compiling the preface, introductions to each section, and postscript that I wrote for this translation into a separate volume titled Introduction, to meet the needs of readers. I believe this is a good idea and readily agreed, taking this opportunity to select and translate four additional reference articles as appendices for this introduction. Mahabharata is a renowned Indian epic, and its complete Chinese translation, comprising approximately five million words and bound into six thick volumes, has many readers who do not have the time to read the entire work but are eager to understand this masterpiece. This book compiles the preface, introductions to each section, and postscript of the translation into an Introduction as a standalone volume to meet the needs of readers.
