Features: After careful consideration, I still dare to title this book "China's Religious Issues and Religious Policies." Although I have been engaged in religious work for over a decade and have paid attention to accumulation and exploration, it is not an easy task to fully understand and accurately grasp China's religious issues and policies, let alone in my humble work. However, as an exploration, it might as well be attempted. In this book, I tentatively define these two fundamental meanings as follows: "Religious issues" refer to the social attributes of religion, that is, the status and role of religion as a social phenomenon in real-life society, including the constraints on religion by society and the influence of religion on society; "Religious policies" refer to the basic principles and specific measures formulated and implemented by the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government based on their stance, viewpoints, and attitudes toward religious issues. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, especially since the reform and opening-up, our Party has formed a set of theories, policies, and measures in dealing with religious issues, which are rich in content and have a distinct style, becoming an important part of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
